London is one of my favourite cities in the world for many reasons. It has a great energy, and there is always something new and different to experience. But what I love most is gaining exposure to the advertising industry in the UK and grabbing some insight into international trends and how they may affect us (or how we’re affecting them.)
During my most recent visit in June 2018, I was invited by the lovely folks at Mellor&Smith to swing by their offices. Mellor&Smith is a brand and design agency with a no bullshit approach to their work and clients. And their work is damn fine.
In addition to rocking it for their clients, they started TFR (Take Fucking Risks). The TFR events have taken London by storm with their refreshing approach.
But why stop there? TFR also has a podcast dedicated to talking to and about people who take risks, whether they pay off or not. I was fortunate enough to be invited to chat with Paul and Cookie while I was in London, and this is what happened. Please note that the podcast starts with popping a bottle of champers, so if I make no sense by the end, you know why.

I have a distinctly average attitude towards conformity and an above average adoration for Patron, entrepreneurship, my cat, and snowboarding.
